A 20-year-old man who was critically injured in a weekend shooting in Vancouver has died, authorities confirmed, as police continue searching for the suspect.
Victim Found Shot in Parking Lot
According to the Vancouver police Department, officers responded around 2:20 a.m. Saturday to reports of a shooting in the 11800 block of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Condition Worsened Before Death Confirmed
Police initially reported that the victim was not expected to survive due to the severity of his injuries. By Tuesday, authorities confirmed that the 20-year-old had died.
His identity, along with the official cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Suspect Remains Unidentified
The shooter fled the scene before officers arrived. A search operation, including the use of a K-9 unit, was conducted, but no suspect has been located so far.
