A man’s body was discovered in a remote area near Bagby Hot Springs, prompting a recovery effort by local authorities.

Officials said staff from the U.S. Forest Service found the body Sunday below Blister Creek Falls, a rugged area within Mount Hood National Forest.
Rescue Teams Recover Body After Hours-Long Effort
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office led the recovery operation, which took place Monday morning and lasted about two hours due to the challenging terrain.

Authorities stated there is no indication of criminal activity in the man’s death. Investigators believe he was alone at the time of the incident.
