A motorcyclist was left with life-threatening injuries following a collision with a car in Springfield, Oregon, on Tuesday night, police said.
Officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to the crash near South 41st Street and Main Street around 9:03 p.m. on April 28. Emergency responders transported the injured motorcyclist to a hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, authorities confirmed.
The crash prompted road closures in the area as officers gathered evidence. The Springfield Police Major Accident Investigation Team has taken over the case.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to come forward as the investigation continues.
