Police Seek Suspect Accused of Stealing Migratory Bird Eggs in Milwaukie Park

On This Post

Authorities in Oregon are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of removing eggs from a protected bird nest in Milwaukie.

According to the Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division, the incident occurred in June 2025 near a railroad trestle at Rivervilla Park in Clackamas County. The case came to light months later, after it was reported in March.

Investigators say the man was seen taking eggs from a nest belonging to a migratory bird species. Officials have released a photo of the individual, who was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue shorts, and white athletic shoes, and was carrying a backpack at the time.

Migratory birds are protected under both federal and state laws, making it illegal to take or possess them, their nests, or their eggs without proper authorization.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect to come forward by contacting the Turn-In-Poachers hotline or emailing state officials.

The investigation remains ongoing.
