Two individuals were arrested and charged with larceny following a daytime break-in, according to Saugus police.

Just before 12 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to allegations of two men breaking into a home on Oakwood Avenue.

The men were armed with weapons, wearing masks, and clothed all in black.

Saugus Police Chief Michael Ricciardelli states that shots were fired, but no injuries were recorded.

Police have identified the suspects as Derek Matarazzo and Timothy Gregory, both of Boston. They face numerous felony accusations, including home invasion.

The police said there was no danger to the public and believed it was an isolated event.

Currently, officials are looking into a probable motive for the incident but have declined to speculate.
