A Jefferson City man was apprehended after robbing a convenience shop at gunpoint.
Bakari Moody, 28, allegedly entered the Eagle Stop in Eugene at 3 a.m. last Thursday and proclaimed his intention to rob it. According to court filings, Moody assaulted and punched a patron before taking his hat.
Moody then entered an employee-only area, equipped with a pistol. According to court filings, surveillance video shows Moody placing his weapon in a bag of food in the back office before exiting the store.
Moody was subsequently apprehended while driving in the 3600 block of Amazonas Drive. He is accused with first-degree attempted robbery, armed criminal action, and fourth-degree assault.
