The Vancouver Police Department announced another arrest on Friday in connection with the case of a pediatrician accused of child abuse.
William J. Sneiderwine, 61, was detained on Thursday and charged with conspiracy to conduct child abuse and tampering of evidence. Prosecutors allege that he introduced pediatrician Michael Wilmington to Chad Hartley.
Wilmington was discovered dead in an apparent suicide after investigators issued a warrant for his arrest.
Meanwhile, Hartley has been accused of taking a youngster to Wilmington’s house for weekly “naked sleepovers” and keeping explicit images of children on his computer. He is being held at the Clark County Jail.
Sneiderwine made his first appearance in Clark County Court on Friday. He is being jailed for $750,000 bail.
