Two people were taken into custody last Friday after a fatal shooting in North Lauderdale, the Broward Sheriff’s Office reported to Local 10 News on Monday.
Anthony Adams, 18, and Aamir Adams, 19, were arrested on Friday on several accusations, including planned murder, criminal attempt, solicitation, and conspiracy, according to the Bureau of Security. Aamir Adams also has a probation violation charge.
Local 10 News has sought copies of both arrest reports.
According to BSO, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. Friday near the 7900 block of Southwest Seventh Court.
According to a BSO spokesperson, when deputies arrived at the location, they discovered two people with gunshot wounds.
North Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials took both victims to a local hospital, where one died.
A Local 10 News team arrived later in the morning while detectives remained on the scene, placing evidence markers on the ground before a Ford Mustang was taken away.
Bullets blew out the driver’s side window.
A BSO official said deputies later discovered the suspect car along the 1300 block of Avocado Isle in Fort Lauderdale, where at least one of the suspects was arrested.
The relationship between the two suspects has not yet been revealed.
As of Monday afternoon, both were being held in the Broward County Main Jail without bond.
