A man from Virginia has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Laurel, according to police.
Samai Gayle, 26, of Arlington, is facing several homicide-related charges following the stabbing on May 9 in the 7800 block of Contee Road.
Officers found 48-year-old Dwayne Julien of Laurel with stab wounds. He was brought to a trauma hospital and later died.
Witnesses told police that Gayle fled the area on foot. Officers discovered him nearby and arrested him. He received treatment at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives believe Gayle and Julien knew each other.
