A road rage incident in Central Florida ended with a driver getting apprehended.
Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office went to a reported road rage incident near Davenport on US 17-92 and Ernie Caldwell Boulevard.
The victims informed deputies that the driver of a silver 2013 Toyota Venza shouted and flashed his lights at them before cutting off their vehicle and pointing a gun at them, threatening to shoot them.
A deputy made contact with the driver of the Toyota, who was identified as Mark Cardona, 40, of Davenport.
Cardona admitted that he pointed a gun at the occupants of the other vehicle, but it was only a paintball gun.
The deputy remarked that the pepperball gun resembled a real handgun.
Mark Cardona was arrested and sent to the Sheriff’s Processing Center, where he was charged with two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
