Prosecutors have charged four women with jumping a pregnant worker at a Qdoba restaurant on 96th Street in Fishers.
Aniyah Gooch and Dajah Gooch are both facing allegations of battery with a deadly weapon and battery resulting in injury to a pregnant mother.
Armoniah Malone and Darrique Jackson are only facing charges of violence resulting in injury to a pregnant woman.
“They attempted to stab me in the stomach,” the victim told FOX59/CBS4. “I had to protect myself, so I got like stab wounds all on my hands.”
The victim, who requested that FOX59/CBS4 not disclose her identity, had injuries on her hands and face from the incident.
Fishers police were called to the restaurant at 8:30 p.m. after the victim called 911 and reported that Aniyah Gooch and her gang had come behind the counter and begun beating her up.
The victim claimed her coworkers attempted to stop the women.
“They told the team members they would smack the f**k out of them and beat the f**k out of them if they didn’t move out of the way,” the victim claimed. “So they pushed them, and one girl stood up. We were fighting for at least 20 seconds before they started jumping me.”
Prosecutors claimed Aniyah Gooch was the ringleader. The victim claimed she and Aniyah were both having an affair with the same man and had discussed it earlier in the day. The victim claimed that was what precipitated the attack.
“She was mad at me because I was having his kid, and I guess she couldn’t have the kids,” the victim claimed.
The Gooches are facing further charges because prosecutors allege they used knives during the attack and attempted to stab the victim in the stomach.
“There is information in the probable cause affidavit that the defendant was then livestreaming on social media afterwards that ‘the baby is dead,'” deputy prosecutor Toula Guedel stated in court.
The victim claimed the Gooches should have addressed the incident like adults.
“It really should have been some grown-woman stuff,” the victim explained. “There’s no strain on any boy. But they are receiving what they deserve; therefore, I am not in jail; they are.”
The four women appeared in court on Monday afternoon, and the judge entered preliminary not guilty pleas on their behalf.
The Gooches are being jailed under a $50,000 bond. Jackson’s bond was set at $10,000, while Malone’s was set at $7,500.
