A man will spend nearly ten years in prison after being convicted in his fourth domestic assault case, according to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.
Phillip Michael Donald Hubbard, 46, was sentenced on April 29 to nine years in jail.
On September 7, 2025, officers arrived at a Beaverton hotel after someone reported hearing a woman plead for help. Officers spoke with the woman and noticed severe wounds on her cheeks. She informed officers that she scratched herself after being irritated with Hubbard, with whom she was in a relationship.
According to the district attorney’s office, the victim called police a few days later to report that she had been coerced into lying and that Hubbard had injured her by dragging her back into their hotel room and covering her mouth with his hand.
The victim also stated that Hubbard had physically abused her on previous occasions.
According to the district attorney’s office, this is Hubbard’s fourth felony domestic violence prosecution, and the victim is his third partner that he has viciously beaten.
