Woman apprehended after stealing motorcycle in Belleview, out on bond

In a separate grand theft auto case in Marion County, authorities said a woman accused of stealing a motorcycle has been released on bond.

According to deputies, Megan Bateman, 35, posted bond on Monday.

She was detained on Sunday after deputies reported seeing a stolen Harley Davidson outside Opus Bar in Belleview.

Deputies say they chose not to pursue Bateman as she sped away on the motorcycle, but she was eventually apprehended.

According to jail records, Bateman has been arrested 10 times in Marion County since 2017.
