Police say one person has been apprehended after a standoff with SWAT in Plano early Monday morning.
Officers were summoned to the 3100 block of Peppertree Place shortly before 1 a.m. for an attack. When police got on the scene, they were able to speak with the victim of the attack, who stated that her husband threatened her with a firearm after assaulting her.
The mother and one of her sons were able to flee to safety, leaving the husband alone in the house, according to authorities.
Several attempts to contact the culprit were fruitless, so SWAT was brought in, according to authorities. After making contact with the suspect, he exited the residence and was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. The suspect’s name has not been disclosed.
