Wright-Patt civilian employee among those apprehended in human trafficking sting

A Wright-Patterson AFB employee was apprehended as part of a statewide human trafficking investigation.

According to News Center 7, more than 120 men, including four from the Miami Valley, were arrested as a result of the nationwide probe.

In Montgomery County, Joseph Ferguson (56), Nicholas Gregory (30), Michael Duffy (67), and Corbin Giffith (39) were all arrested and charged with soliciting.

A representative for the Air Force Materiel Command confirmed Ferguson’s employment with AFMC at Wright-Patterson AFB.

The representative stated that they are unable to share any additional information due to the “ongoing investigation.”

During “Operation Spring Cleaning,” law enforcement executed search warrants at houses and massage parlors and set up undercover operations that included online discussions and in-person encounters.
