A Mt. Washington man faces child-endangering charges after two young children were discovered barefoot and wandering alone along busy Beechmont Avenue, according to court records.
Police said the children, aged 2 and 4, were discovered on the afternoon of May 26 while William Rhinehart, 34, was in charge of their care.
According to investigators, officers and onlookers spent approximately 30 minutes determining who was supposed to be babysitting the children.
According to court documents, it took cops another 15 minutes to knock on Rhinehart’s door before he responded.
According to authorities, both children had soiled diapers and seemed dirty when they were found.
Rhinehart faces two counts of child endangerment. Police did not reveal his relationship with the youngsters.
