The final suspect wanted in connection with a 2025 double homicide in Cleveland’s Slavic Village area has been taken into custody by US Marshals and members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.
According to the task force, Frankie Hairston, 31, was arrested Wednesday morning at a home in the 3900 block of East 71st Street in Cleveland.
Hairston was wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office on accusations of murder, felonious assault, involuntary manslaughter, and possessing weapons while disabled.
According to authorities, Hairston is the fifth defendant indicted in connection with the shooting on October 18, 2025, at a Sunoco gas station in the 7000 block of Fleet Avenue. The incident killed Deon Stallings, 27, and Bruce Singleton, 46, and injured two others, including Hairston.
Task force officials said Damon Walton, 34, Jabrial Adams, 37, and Gino Pierce, 38, had previously been identified as suspects and were arrested in 2025. Hairston was the last fugitive wanted in the investigation.
Investigators were also looking for Hairston in connection with a separate 2024 burglary investigation.
The task team stated that Hairston was detained without incident.
“This was an incredibly violent incident that took place in the middle of a busy neighborhood,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said. “The U.S. Marshals Service and its partners will continue to search for anyone involved in a violent incident that resulted in the loss of life as well as those who terrorize our communities with violence.”
Hairston was turned up to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities did not provide any additional information regarding his forthcoming court appearances.
