The Carbon County Coroner’s Office is investigating the deaths of two people who died on Friday at a home near White Haven.
A 911 hang-up call prompted EMS to respond to the home.
Officials discovered two bodies in the home. Chief Deputy Coroner Jason T. Smith pronounced both dead on June 6.
Based on the preliminary investigation undertaken by the Carbon County Coroner’s Office in collaboration with the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident is suspected to be a murder-suicide.
Currently, there is no recognized threat to the public.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending autopsy results and the conclusion of the investigation.
Autopsies are set for Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensics Center.
