Five people are recovering after being shot early Sunday morning while playing card games in Cleveland, according to authorities.

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, the incident took place around 4:20 a.m. on the 3300 block of E. 106th Street. Five patients were taken to nearby hospitals and confirmed to be stable.

Police described the victims’ injuries:

  • One female victim with a gunshot wound to the buttock
  • One unidentified victim with a gunshot wound to the foot
  • One unidentified victim with a gunshot wound to the right leg
  • One unidentified victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen
  • One unidentified victim with a gunshot wound to both legs

Police said the reason the suspect began shooting is unknown and is under investigation.
