A Texas man and an Arizona man were sentenced to life in prison after an Ascension Parish jury found them guilty of charges related to a human trafficking investigation.
According to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Jayden Hodge, 21, of Dallas, and Antonio Jackson, 23, of Phoenix, were convicted on March 5 of two charges of human trafficking – victim under the age of 21 and one count of human trafficking – victim under the age of 18.
According to officials, in September 2024, a missing 13-year-old was found after Texas authorities discovered evidence online indicating that the girl was being prostituted in Gonzales. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Louisiana State Police collaborated to find the girl and two additional women under the age of 21.
Judge Jason Verdigets Jackson handed down the sentence on Wednesday afternoon.
