One person apprehended after exposing child to fentanyl in North Carolina

A Greenville man is facing drug trafficking and child-related crimes after allegedly exposing a young child to fentanyl.

According to Greenville police, Daquinn Nelson, 28, was detained and charged with fentanyl trafficking and exposing a kid to a dangerous narcotic.

According to the warrants, Nelson exposed a 6-year-old child to fentanyl that he possessed.

Nelson was taken to the Pitt County Jail and is being held without bond.

According to online court records, Nelson is also facing a pending narcotics allegation in Pitt County from last year.

He is set to appear in court for a hearing on Thursday.

All defendants are deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
