A 26-year-old man was shot Sunday afternoon while going down an alley on Chicago’s South Side, according to police.
The incident took at around 2:25 p.m. on the 7800 block of South Saginaw Avenue in the city’s South Chicago area.
According to Chicago police, the victim was walking down an alley when he heard a loud explosion and experienced pain in his leg. Authorities concluded that the individual had a gunshot wound to his lower left leg.
Emergency personnel took the man to Trinity Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
Police have not provided any information regarding a probable suspect, and no arrests have been reported.
Area Two investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
