A 33-year-old man who was wanted by police in connection with an incident earlier this month at the Eugene Public Library in which he allegedly swung a knife while acting disorderly was apprehended on Friday, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD authorities stated various community members and the Springfield Police Department assisted in identifying and locating suspect Jarrod Brennen Adesso, who was apprehended at 6:19 p.m. on June 12. Adesso was transferred to the Lane County Jail and charged with disorderly conduct, according to police. No victims of alleged menacing have come forward.
According to authorities, the incident occurred in the afternoon of June 5. A man, subsequently identified as Adesso, was ranting and wielding a knife inside the Eugene Public Library. By the time a librarian arrived, Adesso had already put the knife away but was still ranting. He cooperated when the librarian ordered him to leave, and police were called on June 6.
