A multi-law enforcement operation that began last fall has resulted in the arrest and indictment of 13 people on narcotics and guns offenses.

During a June 25 raid in Buffalo, Cheektowaga, and North Tonawanda, police discovered controlled narcotics, including cocaine and fentanyl, as well as substantial amounts of marijuana and guns. “That’s 13 drug dealers who are no longer in business,” stated United States Attorney Michael DiGiacomo.

DiGiacomo stated that the raids occurred on West Avenue in Buffalo, Cleveland Drive in Cheektowaga, and Sweeney Street in North Tonawanda.

According to Allen Davis II, FBI special agent in charge of the Buffalo Field Office, the investigation began after agents became aware of the dealers’ consistent business practices. “Our work, however, is not complete,” Davis stated.

The FBI’s “Operation Summer Heat” probe continues. “Our mission is to take violent criminals,” Davis explained.
