A person is facing DUI charges following a multi-vehicle incident in Fayette County that left many injured.
Pennsylvania State Police said troopers were dispatched to Matthew Drive near the intersection of New Salem Road in South Union Township at 12:41 p.m. on Thursday.
According to investigators, a crash involved three vehicles.
Two of the vehicles were visible when Channel 11 arrived on the scene. A red car was seen on its side, while an SUV with severe front-end damage was being hauled away on a flatbed.
A passenger in a vehicle was airlifted to Ruby Memorial Hospital with severe injuries.
Troopers identified the driver as Loretta Rene Kelley, 39, of Brownsville. She was detained and charged with a DUI.
Police say a third person was evaluated for chest pain. They didn’t need to be hospitalized.
