A Luzerne County man is behind bars after being apprehended by an undercover trooper posing as a young girl.
Devin Fleming, 32, from Hazleton, called a trooper’s covert phone in early June. The messages lasted for weeks as he attempted to meet with the 14-year-old girl he thought he was speaking with.
He was charged Thursday with attempted unlawful contact with a minor, attempted statutory sexual assault, and other offenses.
Fleming’s bail was denied, and he remains in Luzerne County Prison until a preliminary hearing in early July.
