Monroe murder suspect taken into custody by US Marshals in Texas

Monroe police said that U.S. Marshal agents took into custody a murder suspect in Arlington, Texas, on Friday.

Monroe police stated that Harry J. West will be extradited to Ouachita Parish “soon.”

Monroe police identified West as a suspect in Sunday’s early morning shooting in the 500 block of Desiard Street.

West is facing second-degree murder and terrorizing charges.

Tony Frith Sellers was shot and murdered.

A woman was also hit by a car while people were leaving the area. Officers are seeking a dark-colored truck in connection with the case. She was transported to Shreveport in critical condition.
