Two men died after a head-on collision in South Toledo early Saturday morning, and one passenger was critically injured.
According to Toledo police, a westbound car appeared to violate the center line on Airport Highway, just east of Eastgate Road, and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle around 1:34 a.m.
According to the police report, the driver of the impacted vehicle was pronounced dead at the spot, while his passenger was brought to the University of Toledo Medical Center with critical injuries.
According to authorities, the driver who crossed the middle line was transferred to UTMC and eventually died.
The residents’ names are being concealed pending notification of family.
The crash is still under investigation.
