Buffalo Police apprehended one man after conducting a series of search warrants to “combat the illegal sale of cannabis,” according to the department.

On Tuesday, Buffalo Police executed search warrants in the first block of Riverside Avenue, the first block of Olympic Avenue, and the 400 block of Seventh Street. Police recovered 39 pounds of cannabis, 4.5 pounds of pure cannabis, and around 80 grams of psilocybin mushrooms from three sites. Police also seized more than $25,000 in cash.

Dennial Flowers, 40, of Buffalo, has been charged with one count of third-degree criminal possession of cannabis.

The Buffalo Police Narcotics Unit, Buffalo Police SWAT, and the New York State Office of Cannabis Management collaborated to conduct the searches.

The investigation is still ongoing, and a representative for the Buffalo Police Department said further charges are expected to be filed.
