A 17-year-old girl was detained early Sunday morning at Fells Point for spitting at an officer, according to Baltimore Police.

On July 12, about 4:28 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South Broadway for a common assault.

There, cops discovered a small group of individuals about to leave the location. Authorities said a 17-year-old girl spit at an officer after being asked to leave the area.

The kid was then apprehended and transported to juvenile booking for processing.

This follows police reports that officers safely dispersed a throng in Fells Point on Saturday night.
