Three people were taken into custody and approximately 37 grams of suspected fentanyl were seized after a multi-agency drug investigation Thursday night.
According to police, the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force, the Vienna Police Special Response Team, and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a home on 7th Street in Vienna at 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police said they discovered suspected fentanyl in a toilet after someone tried to flush it. Investigators also discovered scales, baggies, and other drug distribution-related materials.
Three people were arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply fentanyl and conspiracy.
All individuals are deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
