A Lexington County woman has been sentenced to 30 years in prison on cocaine trafficking charges.
Kristen Nicole Foutz, 44, was found guilty on Wednesday of trafficking methamphetamine, 28 grams or more but less than 100 grams.
On October 31, 2024, officials allege Foutz sold more than 28 grams of methamphetamine during a narcotics operation in Lexington County’s White Knoll region. During the trial, the jury witnessed video surveillance of Foutz carrying out the cocaine transaction.
Foutz testified in her own defense, saying she only sold a cutting agent and not genuine narcotics. During the trial, the jury heard from the chemist who tested the drugs for methamphetamine.
During the sentencing hearing, prosecutors informed the court that this was Foutz’s seventh drug conviction in the last two decades. According to officials, she had prior convictions for facilitating officers’ escape from detention and supplying false information to law enforcement.
Foutz was sentenced to 30 years at the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Foutz will not be eligible for parole because his conviction is classed as a violent, serious offense.
She will be taken to South Carolina’s Department of Corrections to serve her sentence.
