19-Year-Old Woman Killed In Southwest Baltimore Stabbing

A Saturday night stabbing at a south-west Baltimore intersection left a 19-year-old woman dead after she was rushed to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Centre, according to police. Officers were dispatched to the Saint Josephs district, namely W. Baltimore Street and N. Hilton Street, where they discovered the young woman with a stab wound. Homicide investigators have taken over the investigation and are now asking anyone who saw or heard something to come forward.

Around 8 p.m. Saturday, Baltimore police officers responded to W. Baltimore Street and N. Hilton Street and discovered an unnamed woman with a stab wound. According to FOX45, the victim was rushed to Shock Trauma with life-threatening injuries and later died.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, and the agency is characterising the incident as a fatal stabbing in south-west Baltimore. Investigators are attempting to determine what led up to the incident and who was responsible.

The death coincides with the Baltimore Police Department’s July 1 mid-year crime report, which showed a 23% decrease in homicides and increased clearance rates for violent offences. The Baltimore Police Department stated that it continues to rely on community tips and investigation leads to solve violent crimes.
