Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich announced Monday the conviction of a man for raping and sexually abusing a 5-year-old child in his care.
According to a prosecutor’s office announcement, authorities discovered that Dominic Galloway, 37, of Cuyahoga Falls, owned various electronic devices that included several obscene photos of children.
A grand jury convicted Galloway of the following:
- Three counts of rape of a child under 13 years of age
- Six counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person
- Five counts of illegal use of minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance
- Four counts of gross sexual imposition of a child under 13-years of age
- Eight counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person
Galloway has been classified a Tier III sex offender, which means he must register with the local sheriff every 90 days for the rest of his life if freed from jail, according to the statement.
According to the Summit County Jail, Galloway is being held on a $750,000 bond.
At such a young age, this child showed extraordinary courage and bravery in coming forward and testifying at trial. I also want to thank the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department and the many medical professionals who cared for this child in the Akron Children’s Hospital Emergency Department, CARE Center, and through her continued care outside the hospital. Their dedication and compassion helped ensure she received the support she needed.

Galloway is set to be sentenced on September 1, 2026, at 10 a.m., and faces a life sentence.
