A lucky Mississippi Lottery player has a $1 million Powerball ticket from Saturday night’s drawing.

The winning $2 ticket, purchased at Sprint Mart #38 in Tupelo, matched all five white ball numbers. Mississippi was one of six states—along with Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington—that produced a million-dollar winner in the drawing.

Because the buyer declined the optional $1 Power Play® add-on, they missed out on doubling their payoff to $2 million. The ticketholder has 180 days from the drawing date to redeem their life-changing reward at the Mississippi Lottery Headquarters in Flowood.

Meanwhile, national lottery jackpots are skyrocketing:

  • Powerball: Reached an estimated $663 million ($290.4 million cash value).
  • Mega Millions: Climbed to an estimated $800 million ($344.2 million cash value) for Tuesday night’s drawing.
