A lottery player in Tupelo, Mississippi, won $1 million on a Powerball ticket purchased for $2.
According to the Mississippi Lottery Corporation, the ticket was bought at Sprint Mart #38 in Tupelo.
The reward money is $1 million for matching all five white ball numbers in Saturday night’s drawing.
The winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize at the Mississippi Lottery Headquarters in Flowood.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot continues to increase. The jackpot for Monday night’s drawing is estimated at $633 million, with a cash value of $277.3 million.
