According to the district attorney, authorities were summoned to Turners Falls’ Migratory Way, often known as the “Rock Dam,” at 6 p.m. The guy, identified as Hermes Mariano Almonte of Worcester, was pulled from the sea and sent to Baystate Franklin Medical Center, where he was declared dead.
Officials said there is no evidence of foul play, and the inquiry is ongoing.
