A Pittsburgh man accused of belonging to a criminal organization pleaded guilty and was sentenced late last week.
Amire McLoead, 22, pleaded guilty to participating in a criminal organization led by his father, 43-year-old Jeffrey Wilkins of York. There were 11 other Butler residents that participated in the organization.
McLeod was sentenced to 30 to 60 months in prison, 36 months probation, and is eligible for the State Boot Camp, which aims to reduce re-arrest, reincarceration, and recidivism.
McLoead pleaded guilty to being an employee of a corrupt organization, as well as manufacturing, delivery, and possession with intent to produce or deliver.
In addition to jail time and probation, McLoead will be required to pay more than $1,000 in fines, fees, restitution, and prosecution costs.
