Fresno Man Arrested After Bloody Bathroom Brawl in Anthony, Texas

A 56-year-old man was hospitalized and a Fresno man was arrested after a knife was allegedly drawn during a toilet fight in Anthony on Monday evening. The victim, who was from Mexico, received many stab wounds but is likely to live.

According to KFOX14/CBS4, Anthony police officers responded at 5:30 p.m. to a report of an assault at 2015 Antonio. According to authorities, the man had stab wounds in his lower rear torso when officers arrived.

Carlos Adrian Herrera, 31, has been named as the suspect by investigators. According to police, Herrera assaulted the man in a restroom after an altercation and stabbed him about three times.

The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment, and Anthony police said his injuries were not life-threatening. Herrera, who authorities believe is from Fresno, California, remains in detention, according to KFOX14/CBS4.

Herrera was arrested and charged with aggravated assault using a deadly weapon. Aggravated assault is defined in Texas Penal Code Section 22.02 as an assault resulting in serious bodily injury or the use or exhibition of a lethal weapon.
