A Boston man was arrested on various drug and handgun charges on August 6, following the execution of a search warrant.
The Vermont State Police Drug Task Force and Tactical Services Unit arrested Elijah Pierre, 22, of Boston, Massachusetts, at a residence in Barton.
The arrest followed a months-long drug investigation by investigators from the Vermont Drug Task Force into drug distribution in Orleans County.
During the search warrant, fentanyl, cocaine, cocaine base, US dollars, and a handgun were found.
Pierre was processed at the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks.
He was ordered incarcerated at the Northern State Correctional Facility for failure to post $75,000 bail on accusations of cocaine sales (x2), cocaine possession, fentanyl trafficking, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.
Pierre is due to appear for arraignment in the Vermont Superior Court, Orleans Criminal Division, on Friday at 12:30 p.m.
The Vermont Drug Task Force commended the Vermont State Police, Vermont Highway Patrol, Franklin and Orleans County Sheriff’s Departments, Morristown Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Homeland Security Investigations for their help in this investigation.
Pierre is being prosecuted by the Orleans County State’s Attorney’s Office.
