A Lady Lake teen was apprehended this weekend after reportedly breaching a court order by showing up near the home of someone he had previously threatened.
Desean Isiah Morefield, 18, was arrested on July 31 for breaking a no-contact order when the victim observed him in the roadway near his residence on Woods Landing Drive.
The victim was returning home when he noticed Morefield is standing on the opposite side of the street, about 50 feet away. The court order, which comes from an arrest earlier this year, prohibits Morefield from coming within 500 feet of the victim or his home. According to an arrest report, the victim recorded Morefield on his cellphone and gave the video to police.
The no-contact order was granted following Morefield’s February arrest for allegedly sending threatening Instagram posts to the victim. The dispute allegedly evolved from an argument about sexual comments. Morefield made a decision on a younger brother in 2023.
During the February incident, Morefield allegedly threatened to shoot up the victim’s stepfather’s home, which is also located on Woods Landing Drive. According to the original complaint, Morefield’s messages included threats to “drop all 4 of yall dead” and a statement that “money aint shit when u got a gun to the back of ur head.”
He is being held without bond at the Lake County Jail.
