Woman accused of assaulting local store owner and making threats

A Lincoln Heights woman is facing charges for allegedly abusing a Reading store owner and threatening to kill anyone inside.

Shannon Brewster, 31, was inside Don Vonderhaar’s Market on W. Pleasant Street near Reading Road on Friday and allegedly used vulgar language, according to court filings. When the store owner ordered her to moderate her language, she reportedly continued to rant and act unruly.

When Brewster was asked to leave, she allegedly slapped the business owner’s hand and hit her in the neck. According to an affidavit, she then shouted, “I’ll kill all you white motherf—–s,” before fleeing.

Brewster faces allegations of assault, aggravated threats, and ethnic intimidation.
