A Florida man won $2 million from a scratch-off game.
The Florida Lottery recently announced that Charles Cuozzo of Kenneth City won the $2 million top prize in the Scorching Hot 7s scratch-off game.
The Central Florida man chose to receive his winnings in one lump sum payment of $1,172,000.
The Pinellas County winner acquired his winning ticket at Golden Food, which is located at 6774 46th Avenue North in Saint Petersburg.
He collected his winnings at the Florida Lottery’s Tampa District Office.
The Scorching Hot 7s scratch-off game costs $10 and offers four top prizes of $2 million, as well as over 118 million cash prizes, including more than 4.6 million winning tickets. According to the Florida Lottery, only one top reward remains.
The overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.39.
Scratch-off games are a key part of the Lottery’s range of games, accounting for over 74% of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024.
