A Lake Panasoffkee woman was apprehended after two undercover sting operations discovered her allegedly selling and distributing methamphetamine to a confidential informant.
Dannielle Marie Summersill, 41, was arrested Thursday near the intersection of County Roads 470 and 461 in Lake Panasoffkee.
According to Sumter County Sheriff’s Office arrest files, the arrest is the result of two street-level drugs operations undertaken by the Special Investigations Squad in December 2025.
During the first operation, on December 8, a confidential informant with hidden audio and video recording equipment paid Summersill for methamphetamine with a marked $20 bill. Exactly one week later, on December 15, the same informant saw Summersill again. During the second taped contact, Summersill allegedly gave the informant another batch of methamphetamine.
Detectives inspected the informant and their car before and after each transaction to verify there was no further contraband, weapons, or currency. The informant, who informed officers that they knew Summersill was a drug dealer and had previously acquired narcotics from her, handed them a small, transparent plastic baggie after each meeting.
The medicines in the first encounter weighed 1.39 grams, whilst the second batch weighed 0.69 grams. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Crime Laboratory later analyzed the chemicals and determined that both were methamphetamine.
Detectives also compared the undercover camera footage from both encounters to Summersill’s driver’s license and previous booking images to confirm her identification.
Summersill is charged with various felonies, including selling and distributing methamphetamine, as well as two counts of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to sell. She was booked into Sumter County Detention Center and released after paying a $40,000 bond.
