Lucky $100,000 Mass Cash ticket sold at South Coast store

A lottery ticket won in the Tuesday midday drawing of the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Mass Cash” game was sold at a country store in Westport.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the winner purchased their ticket at Star Country Store & Deli. The winning numbers for the September 8 drawing were 2, 13, 18, 27, and 30.

Another $100,000 “Mass Cash” prize was awarded Tuesday. The ticket was sold at a Dorchester convenience store.

The “Mass Cash” drawings take place every day at 9 p.m., and tickets cost $1 to play. To win, a player must choose five numbers between 1 and 35, and there are three prizes available.

If all five numbers match the ones drawn, the “Mass Cash” player will win $100,000. If they match four numbers, the prize is $250; if they match three, the payout is $10.

The greatest lottery prize claimed in Massachusetts this year is $29.71 million. It came from a Megabucks ticket purchased at King Mart in Holyoke.
