A man charged with a fatal Toledo shooting has been arrested out of state, according to police.
Elmer Winters, 56, was detained in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on August 21, according to police records. He was wanted for murder and felonious assault in the fatal shooting of 44-year-old Leon Oldham.
On April 28, 2026, a fatal shooting occurred on the 100 block of Bronson Ave., near Central and Lagrange. Oldham was discovered dead on the sidewalk.
Oldham’s loved ones earlier told 13 Action News that he was a parent and a loyal individual.
It is unknown when Winters will be extradited to Toledo to face the accusations.
