Prospective college students and their families will have three opportunities this fall to explore Kankakee Community College, tour academic spaces and receive personalized information about programs and enrollment.
According to Kankakee Community College, Explore KCC Days take place on Monday, Oct. 12; Saturday, Oct. 24; and Wednesday, Nov. 11. Each session runs from noon to 2 p.m. at KCC’s Riverfront Campus, 100 College Drive in Kankakee.
The Oct. 12 and Nov. 11 weekday events coincide with Columbus Day and Veterans Day, respectively.
Explore KCC Day serves prospective students who are still considering career options as well as those who already know what they want to study. Guests are also welcome to attend.
Participants receive personalized information about KCC’s academic programs and tour learning spaces on campus. College staff also provide information about student support services, financial aid and the enrollment process.
KCC serves more than 3,500 students each year and offers more than 56 areas of study, including programs leading to associate degrees and certificates as well as opportunities to transfer to four-year universities.
The college also provides career-focused programs developed with input from local businesses and industries. Other offerings include continuing education, certification training, job fairs, GED preparation, literacy programs and English as a Second Language.
