Massachusetts has a new millionaire after a $5M State Lottery scratch ticket win

A trip to a Massachusetts convenience store recently resulted in a multimillionaire thanks to a state lottery instant game.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Baker Law Group Mass Lottery Trust XXI of Hingham won the first $5 million grand prize in the “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” $20 scratch ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee Michael Baker, chose to receive its award in the form of a single payment of $3,250,000 (before taxes).

The winning ticket was purchased at Dairy Fine, 201 Fulton St., Norwood. The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling this ticket.

Another grand prize of $5,000,000 remains unclaimed for this game.
