Indy Woman Charged with Stealing Nearly $2,000

Prosecutors charged an Indianapolis woman last week with stealing nearly $2,000 from a couple who needed help becoming U.S. citizens.

Stefania Flores, 32, faces theft and fraud charges, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears revealed Tuesday.

Flores and her company, Global Services, are accused of assuring the couple that they could help with the citizenship process. They offered to assist with finalizing a marriage license, drafting leasing agreements, and completing a US Citizenship and Immigration Services form.

The couple paid Flores several times for services they believed were complete. However, detectives concluded that Flores never submitted the papers or completed the services.

Anyone who believes they obtained similar services from Flores or Global Services is encouraged to contact prosecutors at (317) 327-5600.
