2 people arrested in Glendale after fleeing attempted traffic stop: Police

A man and woman who police an attempted traffic check early Sunday morning were apprehended after being found at a Glendale home.

Phoenix police said officers tried a traffic stop on a fast vehicle at 2:15 a.m., but the driver refused and fled the scene.

After the vehicle stopped at a property near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road, the department’s Air Unit tracked it down and guided officers to the spot.

Officers responded to the home and summoned the vehicle’s occupants to come outside.

According to authorities, the guy and woman were brought into arrest after leaving the house.

Police said the guy will face charges “related to his actions,” while the woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Additional information was not immediately given.
